Sonic Robo Blast 2 (SRB2)

Sonic Robo Blast 2 (SRB2) is a 3D platformer originally developed by fans as a Doom Legacy mod before becoming an independent project. The game succeeds at recreating Sonic’s speed, level design, and gameplay in a fully playable 3D environment while adding original content: characters, mechanics, levels, multiplayer, and map-creation tools. The tone remains arcade and focused on fast action, with elements of exploration and secrets.
SRB2 draws from the classic Sonic universe but includes original elements. The main story centers on the fight against Dr. Eggman (Robotnik), who seeks to dominate the world using his robots and machines. The game mixes elements from classic 2D Sonic titles with new ideas, notably 3D environments and adapted gameplay mechanics. The world is divided into several themed zones, each with its own visual style and challenges.

A breathtaking campaign!
The main SRB2 campaign consists of several zones, each divided into 3 acts plus a final boss. Each zone offers unique challenges, varied enemies, and secrets to discover!
Greenflower Zone: A lush zone inspired by Green Hill, featuring platforms and loops.
Techno Hill Zone: Explore a futuristic factory full of mechanical traps and moving platforms.
Deep Sea Zone: An underwater level with swimming sections and dangerous currents.
Castle Eggman: The final fortress, filled with traps and robots, culminating in an epic boss fight.

Play as the character of your choice:
Each character has distinct stats (speed, inertia, jump height, special abilities) that influence how levels are approached. Some characters allow alternate paths and make collecting hidden items easier.
Sonic: High speed, medium jump, handling focused on running and chaining loops and ramps; ideal for players who prioritize pure speed.
Tails: Slightly slower but can fly briefly (rotary thrust), very useful for reaching certain platforms and secrets.
Knuckles: Can glide and climb walls; slower but stronger in attacks.
Amy: Uses her hammer to attack and can jump higher but is slower than others.
Fang: Can jump higher and use a grappling hook to reach inaccessible areas.
Metal Sonic: Unlockable after finishing the game. The robotic version of Sonic—faster and with special attacks!

Sonic Robo Blast 2 is playable in co-op!
Co-op is one of SRB2’s strengths, offering a unique two-player experience on the same device with split-screen.
All players share the same progression within a level. If one player dies, they can be revived by the other or respawn after a short delay.
