Trees Hate You

Trees Hate You is an action-adventure game in which the player explores nightmarish forests filled with hostile, malevolent trees. Built around traps and visual gags, the game is designed to make you lose your temper. Around every bend in the woods there’s a surprise meant to keep your progress constantly frustrating. Avoid the traps or fail, die, and try again. These trees are unfair, cruel, and merciless: they will exploit your weakness and inattention to humiliate you.
You head back after a picnic in the woods, a short walk, nothing unusual, just a few trees… it should be fine, right? Make your way through the worst of forests, inhabited by terrifying trees. Above all, don’t make the mistake of trusting them: they will deceive you, harass you, and hurt you… If only you could find an axe!
