Mankind is dead, blood is fuel, hell is full

Humanity has vanished, and machines powered by blood are now the only beings roaming the surface of the Earth. As their fuel supplies run dry, they invade the depths of Hell in search of new sources of blood. You play as V1, a combat machine capable of repairing itself by directly absorbing the fresh blood of its victims. Its descent will take it through a wide variety of environments inspired by the circles of Dante’s Inferno, inhabited by tormented souls, demons, angels, and other machines willing to do anything to survive.

Fast, Technical, and Creative Combat

Ultrakill’s gameplay revolves around constant movement and inventive use of your arsenal. Run, slide across the ground, leap through the air, dodge attacks, and deflect certain projectiles while rapidly switching between weapons. Revolvers, shotguns, nailguns, and other weapons feature multiple variants and special interactions that allow you to perform devastating techniques. To recover health, you must stay close to your enemies and cover yourself in their blood, encouraging an aggressive playstyle. Repeating the same actions over and over earns fewer points, so alternate between weapons, movements, and elimination methods to maintain your style multiplier.

Ultrakill P-Rank: The Ultimate Test of Mastery

At the end of each level, your performance is assessed according to three criteria: the time taken to reach the exit, the number of enemies eliminated, and the style points earned during combat. Each category receives a grade ranging from D to S, after which the game calculates your overall ranking while also taking checkpoint restarts into account. The prestigious P-Rank, or “Perfect” rank, is the ultimate objective. To earn it, you must achieve an S rank in time, kills, and style while completing the level without dying or restarting from a checkpoint. Reaching this level of mastery requires perfect knowledge of the arenas, optimized movement, and the ability to chain together the widest possible variety of attacks.
