Poom is a remake of the famous Doom using the Pico-8 engine created to make games in the style of those of the 1980s (the game Celeste was developed with this engine as well). In Poom you play as the only human survivor of a Martian space base. This base was used by the Union Aerospace Corporation to develop secret experiments and a portal to hell was created there, allowing evil creatures to invade the planet. Armed with some weapons and your courage you will have to explore the base to stop the infernal invasion. Go through the different levels eliminating all the monsters you come across, find the keys to open locked doors and discover the many secret passages in which useful bonuses will be hidden. Poom offers 4 difficulty levels, the last two will be very difficult and you will need to use your best skills to complete them.

Rly high-quality game. Love that they kept the music, so I can kill demons while listening to DOOM E1M1. All in all, rly good, but I don't know how to find the secrets. Any tips? Edit: Does anyone know how to use the grenades? (I'm assuming the little black orbs I keep picking up are grenades)

This game has given me an out-of-body experience that makes me regret playing this game. I felt like the Poom Man was repeatedly trying to kill me in my sleep and I was paranoid for around 5 years. This game is a terrible rip-off of Goom, and I would suggest not playing this game EVER. 1 star.
