The famous game Metal Slug, released on the Neo Geo in 1996, well and truly left its mark on the Beat ‘em all and run ‘n’ gun genres back in its heyday. This game will never go out of fashion and is still just as superb nowadays. The gameplay is just as effective and dynamic as you take out hundreds of enemies (foot soldiers, helicopters, tanks, giant robots) in a slew of explosions and smoke! Take on loads of bosses as well during this pretty difficult game, where you’ll have to start over a good few times before finishing the game and discovering the ending.
