Side Effects is a strategy and horror game where you must take pills without poisoning yourself and use various items to survive longer than your opponent. You will experience intense moments of tension and thrills due to bizarre and intense situations. Inspired by Buckshot Roulette, the game emphasizes tactical gameplay to balance the randomness of different gameplay phases. Each turn, a variety of pills will be presented to you. Some may be beneficial, others harmful, and some even deadly. It is impossible to predict what you will ingest or the consequences it may have on your mind or body. Your character will have a poison resistance threshold that you must manage carefully. Between turns, you have the option to choose from a range of items and experimental treatments that could give you an advantage.
Side Effects offers a dark and frightening experience where you will need to demonstrate strategy and composure to progress as far as possible in the adventure!
